luftschloss

the nameless

I did not dare to speak his name,
Denying his existance.
How could it ever end, this game
If i showed resistance?

But then one day
I heard them say
That he was near
And on his way.

A friend of mine spoke of his date.
And others did, to meet their fate,
Invite him over, unable to wait.

But I freaked out
I was afraid
I cried out loud
And hid in bed.

And when I lie in bed at night
I feel him sitting by my side.
Then I will wake and look around
And make quite sure I'm safe and sound.

interlude

it's not thursday
it's not friday
it's the worst day
it's not my day

it's not sunday
it's not monday
it's not tuesday

it's the blues day

blue days

when the skin is too tight
and the light is too bright
it's a blue day.

when you walk to and fro
and there's nowhere to go
it's a blue day.

when the telephone's dead
and all things make you sad
it's a blue day.

when it's been quite a while
since one saw your last smile
it's a blue day.

oh pray
do come and color up my day.

fatigue

saddening symbols of sleeping sorrows
steal there way into my brain
darkening dreams and blinding eyes,
paralyzing feverflies,
turning days from days to morrows.
all the turning rests in vain.
